The Open Door Movement: Awakening a generation to receive their inheritance.
Our generation is thirsty for truth and authenticity. We need to realize our true identity and see our faith displayed in realistic means and in a practical way. Our desire is to see millennials have an awakening, recognizing their God-given inheritance, and to be the light to every dark place.
We believe millennials will be revitalized in their faith if they see a wave of their peers walking out in faith- boldly loving others and truly pursuing the Kingdom of God as it becomes realized here on earth. We want this generation to be known as the most selfless, loving, and “God with skin on” generation there ever was. If we find our identity in Christ and live knowing who we are, it will change everything.
In Matthew 16:19 Jesus says, “I have given you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven”. We believe that authority has been given to all God’s children because we are heirs to the King of Kings and the Holy Spirit lives in us (Romans 8). He has also commissioned all of us to go out into the world and make disciples (Matt 28:16-20). Furthermore, He has told us the signs which accompany those who believe (Mark 16:17-18) and how we will do “even greater things than these” in His name (John 14:12). We want our fellow millennials to recognize they hold the keys to open doors, to set people free, and to lock up sin, sickness, and all attacks of the enemy.
This vision has birthed a Spirit-led voyage to every state across America to see that God is alive and at work in His people. It is designed for those who want to be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s leading with a lifestyle of dependence on God. America needs the church to break out of the institution it has become and be the loving, active, and powerful body of Jesus Christ. Our country is desperate for the free gift of life we have. It’s time we give it to them.
